UZHUNNU VADA


  • Urad dal (uzhunnu parippu)                              2cups
  • Onions                  1big
  • Ginger                 1teaspn
  • Green chillies       2nos
  • Asafoetida                                                         1teapsn
  • Baking powder                                                  1/2teapsn
  • Salt                                                                     for taste
  • Corriander and curry leaves                              1/2cup
  • Black peppers                                                    1teaspn
  • Oil                                                                       for frying
Soak the urad dal in water for about 2-3hours and grind it without adding any water.
In another bowl mix chopped onions,ginger,green chillies,asafoetida,baking powder,salt, pepper,corriander and curry leaves and finally the grounded dal and mix well.Now wet your hands and take a small ball of the urad dal mixture and place them on your palms and flatten them and make a small hole in the middle and put them into hot oil and deep fry  until golden brown and serve it hot.
