DAHI PURI ( A YUMMY NORTH INDIAN CHAAT )



INGREDIENTS
  • Puris                                                  10nos
  • Sev                                                     2cups
  • Corriander chutney                             1/2cup
  • Tamarind paste  (sweet)                     1cup
  • Thick curd                                           11/2cups
  • Sugar                                                  1tbspn
  • Boiled potatoes                                   2nos(diced into cubes)
  • Onions                                                1no(finely sliced)
  • Chopped corriander                            1/2cup
  • Cumin powder                                     1tbspn
  • Chilli powder                                        1tbspn
On a plate smear some sev and corriander leaves and place the puris on it(this holds the puris correctly). Crack a small whole on the middle of the puris and add into it the diced potatoes,onions,corriander leaves,and corriander chutney,tamarind chutney and finally the curd (mixed with sugar).
For garnish 
 Add more sev,cumin powder,chilli powder and corriander on top of this. Serve it immediatly.

Tip
For making tamarind paste ,take a small ball of tamarind soak it in water and squeeze it nicely to get a thick paste.Now add into it the jaggery,salt,chilli powder and asafoetida and keep it for boil.Once it gets cooled up strain it and use.
