POKKUVADA

Besan                                      11/2cups Rice powder                            1tbspn Onions                                     2nosbig Ginger                                      1small piece Curry leaves                             3tbspn Asafoetida                                a pinch Turmeric powder                     1/2teaspn Green chillies                            3nos Salt                                           3/4teaspn Oil                                           for frying Water                                      for mixing Mix in all the above ingredients(except oil)together in a bowl and keep aside for a few minutes. COCONUT BURFI

Coconut burfi is a famous Indian sweet being made mostly at the time of Diwali.People make it and share them amongst their friends and relatives.  Keralites being blessed with a splendid amount of coconut. This recipe would definetly touch the heart of everyone.This is not a commn sweet eing made at home but occationally people do give a try.This Grated Coconut                                                  2cups Sugar                                                                  2cups Cardomon powder                                              a pinch Milk                                                                   1/2cup Saffron                                                               1-2strands(soak in milk for couple of hours) Take a pan and roast the coconut well untill it leaves its moisture and keep it aside. To the pan add in milk (mixed with saffron) and sugar and stir untill the sugar dissolves completely. Add in the grated coconut to this
