RAGGI PUTTU
This is a very healthy recipe,mostly suitable for diabetic patients.Its also suitable for kids who dislikes having their normal foods.You can add in some vegetables to this and make more interesting in looks for them.This recipe is similar to our normal puttus which we make on our daily basis with rice flour.
- Raggi 11/2cups
- Coconut 3/4cup
- Salt for taste
- Water for mixing
In a bowl mix raggi and salt; to this add required quantity of water and mix gently with your fingers until when held on your palms it forms a ball.
Now take a puttu vessel/puttu kutti and layer it with a tablespoon of grated coconut then about 2tbspn of raggi mix and again with the coconut and then again the raggi and coconut.Now keep this on steam and when the steam starts coming out of the topmost holes remove them from steam and tap them to a plate using a stick.
