Oats Payasam

This was a payasam which i just gave a quick try.As we had got bored with the normal oats recipe and was even almost planning to discard oats from our shelf, when i came accross this recipe i tried it and became a big hit.The people who normally like sweets can definetly opt for this.It is also a good recipe for people who are sugar patients and  loves sweets to their heartfull.Maybe slightly they can enjoy a payasam which is even more healthy.
  1. Oats                                                           1cup(i used quaker oats)
  2. Jaggery syrup                                            3/4cup
  3. Coconut milk
                 1st milk                 1/2cup
                 2nd milk                3/4cup
    4.Cardamon powder                                   1/4teaspn
    5.Coconut pieces                                        1teaspn
    6.Ghee                                                        1tbspn

                                 In a heavy deep bottomed vessel pour in the jaggery syrup,to this add in the oats and stir continuously until the jaggery gets dried up.To this add in thin coconut milk ie.2nd milk and continue stirring until it thickens.When its done add in 1st milk,cardamon powder,coconut bits fried in ghee etc and stir quickly and switch off the flame and serve.
