AVALOSE PODI

When i was a kid my aunt normally makes this avalose podi and packs a box for me who was a great fan of her  recipe.Infact even now i get a box when her kids travel to bangalore.I just loved the taste, now even i am making it ,just cant belive ittt how i tried it.Now i am making this for my kid also.Thank you aunty for this wonderfull recipe. But it involves a great patience and hard work in making it.
These traditional items are almost loosing its value amongst youngsters ,so i would like to just refresh all these golden recipes

  1. Raw rice(soaked and grinded as for puttu podi)                             1cup
  2. Coconut                                                                                        1/2cup
  3. Cumin seeds                                                                                  1tbspn
  4. Elakka                                                                                           2-4nos

Mix in the grounded rice, coconut, cumin seeds and elakka together and keep this aside for about 2-3hrs.Then heat a pan transfer the mixture into it and go on roasting it continuously on a low flame until it turns golden brown.

TIP:
Its taste lies in the roasting so be very carefull that it doesn’t get burnt up.Even though this is a very tedious job the end result is definetly gonna be sinful.
The rice has to be grounded without water.
