  • Rice flour                 1cup(finely powdered)
  • Besan                        2cups
  • Salt                           for taste
  • Chilli powder           11/4tbspn
  • Asafoetida                 1teaspn
  • Curry leaves             1cups
  • Oil                             for frying
  • Luke warm water      11/2cups


In a bowl mix up the rice flour and water with some salt and make smooth dough. Now add in the besan and more water and chilli powder,asafoetida etc and make a soft dough.
Now take the chakli and take the narrow slit which results in a tape form.
Heat oil in a pan.Put the dough into the chakli and press it into the oil and fry them.
Remove this into a kitchen towel and once it gets cooled up break into small pieces and garnish it with the fried curry leaves which adds an extra flavour for it.
