KANAVA ROAST/ SQUID ROAST


INGREDIENTS

  • Squid                               500gms
  • Onions                              3-4nos
  • Ginger                              1small
  • Garlic                                2tbspn
  • Green chillies                     3-4nos
  • Turmeric powder              1/2teaspn
  • Chilli powder                     1teaspn
  • Corriander powder             11/4teaspn
  • Garam masala                    1teaspn
  • Pepper powder                   1teaspn
  • Salt                                    1teaspn
  • Water                                 for cooking
  • Curry leaves                        1/2cup

Heat oil in pan and add in the ginger,garlic and saute, once done add in the curry leaves. Now add in the onions and green chillies and fry them, when its done add in all the masalas and roast it on a low flame until the raw smell leaves out.Now add in the squid and mix well.Add some water and salt and let it cook by closing it with a lid.
This goes well with rice,chappathis,pathiri etc...
