STUFFED CHICKEN ADA
- Boneless chicken 250gms
- Onions 2nos
- Ginger and garlic 1/2teaspn(crushed)
- Curry leaves little
- Green chillies 1nos
- Turmeric powder a pinch
- Chilli powder 1teaspn
- Garam masala 1teaspn
- Pepper powder 3/4teaspn
- Oil 1/2cup
For the dough:
- Rice flour 3/4cup
- Wheat flour 1cup
- Salt as requuired
- Fennel seeds 1/2teaspn
- Shallots 1no
- Water for kneading
In a bowl add in rice flour,wheat flour,fennel seeds,shallots and salt and knead them well with required amount of water.
Marinate the chicken with turmeric powder,chilli powder and salt and keep them aside for about half an hour.
Keep a pan on fire and pour oil to it and add in the marinated chicken pieces to it and fry them well.When its fried up remove them from the pan and transfer to a plate.
Keeping the same pan on fire saute the onions,ginger,garlic,green chillies etc. along with the remaining masalas and saute well until a good aroma fills up your house.You can pour in some water at this point to mix up the whole masala.
Meanwhile shred out the fried chicken and transfer them to the onion masala and saute again until it gets well mixed with the masala and becomes dry.
Now make small balls of the dough and roll them to a little bigger size of puris
Place a tablespoon full of the chicken masala on one side and fold from the other side and press the sides gently.With the help of a fork you can make designs over it.Continue this for all adas
Now take an idli cooker or pressure cooker and place the plate of adas and steam them for about 10mins.When its done remove and serve .
