DILKUSH



For the dough:

  1. Maida                                      2cup
  2. Salt                                          1/4teaspn
  3. Warm Milk                              1/2cup
  4. Sugar                                        3/4cup
  5. Active dry yeast                      1/2tbspn  
  6. Oil                                            1tbspn
  7. Egg                                          1no
  8. Egg white                                 1


               In a small bowl pour in warm milk,to this add yeast and sugar and keep aside.

                
                      In another large bowl mix together maida,salt,beaten egg and oil.To this add in the soaked milk and knead well.The dough would be of a sticky consistency.Keep this aside for about 4-5hrs/ untill it doubles in volume.

For the filling :

  1. Flattened rice/aval                 1/4cup
  2. Coconut                                  1/2cup
  3. Cashew and raisins                 2tbspn
  4. Tutti frutti                                1/2cup
  5. Ground cardamon                  1teaspn
  6. Sugar                                      4tbspn    
             
 In a bowl mix together all the above ingredients.






Grease the baking tray with ghee and keep aside


Then divide the dough into 2equal parts.
                
                     Place one of the balls on a flattened surface and roll  well and transfer to the greased tray,above it place the coconut filling keeping a small space from the sides.

                Then roll the 2nd dough part and place over the filling.Gently press,fold and seal the sides of the dough so that the filling doesnt come out while baking.Now brush the top of the bun with egg white.Leave this aside for about 15mins
              

              Preheat the oven at 180deg and place the baking tray to the oven at 180deg for 35-40mins or untill the top is brown in colour.

              Then remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes,with the help of a knife slightly run over the sides of the bun and flip to a plate and cut into triangles and serve.
