MANDA(a sort of samosa with sooji filling)
- Rava/sooji 11/4cup
- Sugar 1tbspn
- Cardamon powder a pinch
- Maida 11/2cups
- Salt 1/2teaspn
- Wheat flour 1tbspn
- Oil for frying
- Ghee 1tbspn
Heat ghee in a pan and slightly roast the sooji,then add in sugar and cardamon powder and roast again untill it gets well mixed.
In another bowl mix maida,salt and wheat flour and knead well as for chapathis.
Now take small balls out of the dough and roll up as for chapathis.
Divide the rolled up dough into 4 equal parts with the help of a knife.
Now each piece comes to the form of a cone.Take each cone fill it with a tablespoon of the sooji in the middle and fold from both the sides and beneath and stick the sides with some water or maida.
Heat oil in a pan and dip each samosa into it and deep fry untill it turns golden brown.Take them out of the oil and transfer to a tissue paper.
This will be slightly hard but good to taste and can be shelfed for about 3-4days.
