KAKKA ROTTI




  • Rice flour roasted                              2cups
  • Salt                                                   to taste
  • Boiled water                                     3cups
  • Grated coconut                                 1cup
  • Baby onions                                       1/4cup
  • Fennel seeds                                      4tspn
  • Cumin seeds                                      1/2teaspn
  • Oil                                                    as required
  • Onions                                              11/2cups
  • Green chillies                                      4-5nos
  • Ginger garlic                                    2tbspn
  • Tomatoes                                           1no
  • Corriander powder                            3/4tbspn
  • Chilli powder                                     1/2tbspn
  • Turmeric powder                               1/2teaspn
  • Garam masala                                    1teaspn
  • Pepper powder                                  1teaspn
  • Normal water                                     2-3cups
  • Chicken/mutton                                250gms( finely chopped)
  • Coconut milk                                     1cup
PREPARATION

  1. Mix the rice flour, salt,coconut,baby onion and cumin seeds by adding in  boiled water. Knead this to a dough with a consistency that does not stick up in your hands.
  2. Divide this rice flour into small marble balls and steam it in a steamer for about 20mins.
  3. Heat oil in  a pan and saute the onions,green chillies,tomatoes,ginger garlic paste,and all the masalas and add in the chicken pieces into it, pour in 2cups of water and finally add in the rice balls  into it and let it cook. Finally add in the coconut milk and mix well.
