UNAKKA CHEMEEN CHAMANTHI
- Unakka chemeen 1/2cup
- Grated coconut 1cup
- Small onions 3-4nos
- Red chillies 2nos
- Curry leaves 1tbspn
- Garlic 3-4pods
- Ginger 1/4teaspn
- Salt a pinch
- Coconut oil 1tbspn
Take a non stick pan and dry roast the unakka chemeen for a few minutes and transfer them to a bowl and keep aside.
In the same pan heat oil add in small onions,red chillies,curry leaves,garlic, ginger etc and saute well.Then add in the grated coconut to it and roast lightly untill the water leaves off from the coconut.Do not over fry them.
Now tranfer them to a mixer,to this add in a pinch of salt and grind them slightly without adding in any water.
You can serve these with idli,dosa and rice.
It can be store in an airtight container for about a week
