STUFFED BUNS
- Maida 3cups
- Egg 1no
- Salt 1teaspn
- Sugar 3tbspn
- Yeast 1tbspn
- Warm water 2tbspn
- Oil 1/2cup
- Milk 1/2cup
- Egg white 1no(for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds 1teaspn
In a bowl soak yeast and sugar with warm water and set them aside.(this is done for fermenting)
In a large bowl beat eggs,to this add milk and oil and mix well.Add in one cup of maida,salt and soaked yeast to it and mix again to form a smooth paste.Then add the remaining flour little by little and knead to form a smooth dough.Knead this for about 10mins.Make sure that the dough is not sticky nor too hard.Leave this aside for about 4hrs or untill it doubles in volume.
Then punch it down and make small equal sized balls.
Flatten the balls with your palms and place the filling in the middle and again shape it back to form a ball.
Place them on a baking tray and apply egg wash over it and sprinkle some sesame seeds over it.
Wait for another 10mins.
Preheat the oven and place the baking tray in it and let it bake for another 15-20mins.
Place on a wire rack and let it cool and then serve.
for the filling
- Onions 1no
- Ginger and garlic 1teaspn
- Shredded chicken 3/4cup
- Green chillies 2nos
- Turmeric powder 1/2teaspn
- Chilli powder 1teaspn
- Garam masala 1tbspn
- Chaat masala 1/2teaspn
- Meat masala 11/4teaspn
- Pepper powder 3/4teaspn
- Salt as required.
In a pan pour some oil and saute onions,chopped ginger,garlic,green chillies etc.To this add in all masalas and salt and saute again.Finally add in the shedded chicken and saute well,to this add some water for cooking and close it with a lid and let it cook.Wait till the water is drained.
Note:
You can alter the filling accordingly ,i had used the butter fish masala filling also for this.And instead of making balls i rooled them vertically and placed the filling .
