Homemade burger


For buns:
  1. Maida                  3cups
  2. Yeast                   1tbsp
  3. Salt                       1tbsp
  4. Egg                       1no
  5. Egg white             1egg
  6. Sugar                   1teaspoon
  7. Milk                      1/2cup
  8. Water                  for kneading         

Soak  yeast in 2tbsp of warm milk with some sugar and set aside.
To another large bowl add in maida,salt,sugar,1egg,milk and yeast and knead them well to a dough with enough water. Keep this aside to double.
When it doubles in quantity press them gently. Divide these into medium sized balls. Place them on the baking tray and slightly flatten them apply egg wash and sprinkle some sesame seeds over it. Let it rest for 10mins and bake for 20mins at180deg .

for patties:


  1. Onions                      1no
  2. Carrots                      1no
  3. Potatoes                     4no
  4. Green peas                 1/4cup
  5. Green chillies               1no
  6. Ginger and garlic.        1teaspoon(chopped)
  7. Pepper powder.          1teaspoon
  8. Chilli powder               1/2teaspoon
  9. Salt                              1teaspoon
  10. Paprika powder            1/2teaspoon(optional)
  11. Corn flour                     3tbsp
  12. Rice flour                       3tbsp
  13. Besan                            2tbsp
  14. Water


Boil potatoes and green peas.
To a pan on  fire with some oil drop in ginger,garlic and saute well. To this goes in green chillies,onions,carrots,cooked and mashed  potatoes and green peas. mix this well with all masalas and salt and set aside.
Once cooled add in some bread crumbs to it and mix. Make small balls of it and keep aside.
Now mix corn flour,rice flour, besan and salt with enough water to a medium consistency.
Take each ball flatten them between your palms and coat with the corn flour mix and then with bread crumbs and shallow fry.

For layering:

  1. Butter                        50gms
  2. Mayyonaise              1cup
  3. Capsicum  (red and green)
  4. Tomatoes                    2no
  5. Cheese slice               5
Take each bun slice them to halves, spread some butter over it then goes in mayonnaise, patties, capsicum, tomato, cheese slices. Topped with some salt, pepper powder and paprika.
Place these back in oven for 2mins and serve.
