Macaroni
This is a very quick recipe mostly famous amongst the kids.But it can be made very nutritious also as you can include all the veggies which the kids normally dislike.The ingredients can be altered according to their favourites or you can finely chop and add the ingredients which they dislike.At times i add sprouts also to it to make my baby have atleast a few sprouts.Moreover i have used suji ka macaroni over here which is far more healthy than the maida macaroni's.
- Macaroni 1cup
- Onions 1no (finely chopped)
- Green capsicum 1/2cup
- Red capsicum 1/2cup
- Tomato 1/4cup
- Celery 1tbspn
- Mushrooms 1/2cup
- Green chillies 1no
- Pepper powder 11/2teaspn
- Salt 1teaspn
- Fresh cream 2tbspn
- Mozarilla cheese 1/4cup
- Water 11/2cups
- Olive oil 2tbspn
In a large vessel keep water to boil,add about 1/2teaspn of salt to it when the water gets boiled add macaroni to it and close the lid and let its cook on a low flame for about 5 minutes. You can just touch and see if its cooked as we do while cooking the rice.When its cooked strain off the water/pour some cold water over the cooked macaroni to stop further cooking.
Take the onions,green chillies,celery,mushrooms and tomatoes and finely chop.The red and green capsicums can be chopped to a thread form.
In another pan pour some olive oil and slightly saute the finely chopped onions,green chillies,mushrooms,,tomatoes, red and green capsicums etc.To this add in some pepper powder and salt and saute again.Then add in the cooked macaroni and saute/toss untill its well mixed.Finally add the fresh cream and mozarilla cheese and mix again.Now switch off the flame and garnish with some celery.
