VEG FRIED MOMOS/DUMPLINGS
This is a traditional dish of Tibet,Sikkim etc.It is being served in a steamed or in a fried form with variety of fillings. The fillings can be made with chicken,fish,veggies etc. Here i have used the veggies filling
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE DOUGH
Maida 1cup
Salt a pinch
Baking powder a pinch
Water for mixing
Mix in all the ingredients and make a thick dough and keep it aside for about 4-5hrs.
FOR THE FILLING
Cabbage 1/2cup
Onions 1/2cup
Carrots 1/4cup
Spring onions 1tbspn
Ginger and garlic 2tbspn
Soya sauce 1teasppn
Salt for taste
Grate the vegetables finely and saute up well,add in soya sauce and salt to it and saute again and let it cool. Now make small balls with the dough and roll them up into small circles and place in the filling in the center and close it from all sides to form a bag and slightly give a twirl to a side (as to form a saree pleet form)then dip them in hot oil and deep fry.When it turns golden brown remove from flame and serve itwith chilli sauce..
