MASALA DOSA



Dosa batter                           1kg
Red chutney powder              1cup                        


















For the masala
Onions                                   1no
Sambar onion                         a handfull
Potatoes                                 3nos
Beetroot                                 1small
Carrot                                     1no
Green chillies                            3nos
Ginger                                     1tbspn
Garlic                                       1tbspn
Mustard seeds                          11/2tbspn
Fenugreek seeds                      1teaspn
Turmeric powder                      1/2teaspn
Curry leaves                              2tbspn
Corriander leaves                      1tbspn
Salt                                            1teaspn

Cook up the potatoes,beetroot and carrot in a microwave with some salt and turmeric powder and smash it well..Heat oil in a pan and add in the mustard seeds,when it starts to splutter add in curry leaves,fenugreek and saute well. Add in the sambar onion,big onions,ginger, garlic,green chillies etc and saute again.Now add in the cooked potatoes,beetroot and carrot and mix well by adding in some water to it. Let this cook for a few minutes and finally garnish with corriander leaves and curry leaves.

For making the masala dosa

Spread the dosa batter on the pan,pour in some ghee on its sides,spread some chutney powder over itnow spread the masala on one of the sides of the dosa and fold the dosa. Let this cook for a few minutes on either side by smearing in some ghee over it (chutney powder can also be spread).Now the dosa is ready to be served.
